Your Home City

Levels 6 to 10

Whether or not you actually did all the quests in Primal World, most of the items you had were automatically removed from your inventory, including the aquametals, the equipment you received from quests, and the wings/flyer. (If you are an elf like me, you’ve lost the very cool-looking wings, but you can still re-equip your standard white ones to fly.) If you skipped to this section right away and you’re level 1, then you don’t have anything in your inventory, anyway.

After you complete the first quest, which involves killing 10 of particular monster, make sure you use the card in your inventory. With it, you can trade it for a weapon that is a lot better than anything you will find as a drop for the next three levels. As you complete quests, start equipping any armor that is dropped by monsters. If you go to the available quests tab in the quest window, there should be at least 5 quests available to you. One quest will end up taking you to your main home city, which will either be Etherblade, City of the Lost, City of the Plume, Tellus City, or City of Raging Tides depending on your race.

When you get to your main home city (an NPC will direct you there through a quest), seek out the Watcher of the Earth. Seeking him out won’t come up as a prompt in your available quests. He gives you a cute little genie that you’ve no doubt seen many other people running around with. Genies aid you in combat by making an extra spell available to you as a reserve. Don’t forget to equip the genie!

When you reach level 5, the “Rookie Guide” will pop up, explaining that you can start crafting. After you’ve completed certain quests, the Elder will also tell you can start crafting if you visit each of the crafting NPCs (blacksmith, tailor, apothecary, and craftsman). Visit these four NPCs as soon as possible because you cannot start crafting before seeing them! It is preferable if you do this before you go out from the city and kill some more monsters because you can farm in between killing. There are many herbs and resources (mats) that you can stock up on early to avoid experiencing a shortage for crafting later on.

Before setting out to kill more monsters, be sure to clean out your inventory by selling useless armor and fireworks at a merchant or some other craft NPC. Drops like lime stone and element powder are pretty useless, too, because you can’t use them for crafting or exchange for them anything. Go to the banker and put away items that you won’t be need for a while, like the Dragon Jade Seal and Celestone Fragment. Also, make a new macro if you haven’t already done so. Your old one got deleted upon leaving Primal World because some of the skills were only temporary.

When you reach level 9, you will receive the spiritual cultivation quest. You will get one of these every 10 levels and they should not be ignored. They allow you to become significantly stronger, learn new skills, and gain new quests. Sometimes the quest will involve fighting a boss, which will require you seek out help from other people because it will be too strong for you. Fortunately, this first one does not involve a boss fight.
